Green Power Now was founded in 2008, aimed at providing a global perspective for youngsters and raising the youth's awareness of energy issues in China by cooperating with schools, corporations, NGOs. Bringing in international interns to offer courses related to green power and to help students become future leaders with strong social responsibility will grant deep insights to both interns and attendees. GPN is the largest national Project in AIESEC Mainland China so far. Last year, 9 AIESEC Local Committees joined GPN and 101 schools from 10 cities were involved. 26,100 students were receiving ecological competences delivered  through workshops and lectures while 61,000 people were influenced by green activities directly, including the Global Climate Change Youth Congress, 50 ACTIONS, the National Green Project Competition, the Yangtze River Protection and so on. On the AIESEC International President Meeting in Mexico, February, 2011, Green Power Now won the Global Sustainability Impact Award, which is the highest recognition in the global network of AIESEC. While working in this project the intern will deal with topics like Low Carbon, Clean Energy, Climate Change and Bio-diversity. They will work in High Schools and in a Project Team in the AIESEC host Local Committee.
