What areas of study are prefered?
As such, there are no prefered areas of study except the criterias mentioned in the specific job advertisments
A Global Community Development Program (GCDP) usually lasts between 6 to 12 weeks, but you may also work up to 18 months in certain projects. These internships are without payment in most cases, however accomondation is always free as well as food at the most. AIESEC internships fit perfectly into your semester break and often are planned such as this.

Global Internship Program
A Global Internship Program (GIP) usually lasts between 12 to 52 weeks, depending on the interest of the intern. It may also be possible to do an internship for 10 weeks only, but then the applicant needs utmost flexibility in as to where the internship takes place. All of these internships are paid.

What other requirements are needed?
Grades?
Although some professional internships of course require good grades, this is not a criteria for volunteer program. We won´t even have a look at it, if this is not specially required from our partners.
Language skills?
Since all our offered internships are abroad you should have a good level of english, as you have to communicate in this language. Some programs may also require spanish, france, or even japanese, just depending on country and company.
What else?
You have to be open minded, curious about different cultures and people, as well as respectful in dealing with them. But of course you would not visit our page if you wouldn´t be.
Nothing for you?
Not possible, trust me! "Thousands of internships" in our case, is not a metaphor!
